Amplifying the Impact of a Digital Magazine.

challenge
ActiveColor was tasked to rebrand the user experience of the DAME website to better align with DAME values and a strong, dedicated user base. Our greatest challenge was to reinvigorate their digital presence from ordinary to exceptional, unique, relevant, and current, all while providing users with an easy-to-navigate, streamlined interface, where content is easily digested and easy to find.

During our discovery process and in-depth research of various successful digital editorial platforms, we were able to find a good level of compromise between what is considered edgy and innovative, and familiar, and easy to navigate. With the goal to reinvent but remain well inside the conventional and familiar user experience on both desktop and mobile, we chose to have the UX remain relatively standard while boosting UI elements and interaction, all while adhering to the original branding and developing this visual language further in the digital domain.

Through brand and UX strategy, we were able to create a modern visual identity system and website that reflects the startup mentality of the company, the technical aspects of the tool itself, and the newly added content platform.
